CiDO
CiDO stands for “Come in and Drop Off” and refers to the access system developed by Dr. Julian Wulf and Felix Ueckermann at the former Institute for Logistics and Transport (ILT) of Prof. Dr. Hartmut Stadtler.
CiDO adds a barcode scanner and internet connection to multiplex doorbell systems. Parcel delivery services can use this to scan parcel tracking codes. If a parcel is for one of the building’s residents, CiDO opens the door to allow them to deposit the parcel in the agreed location. The apartment door remains closed at all times. Universität Hamburg has applied for a patent for this cloud-based technology that can be seamlessly integrated into delivery companies’ processes. CiDO makes unsuccessful deliveries a thing of the past!
CiDO is among others funded by an EXIST Business Start-Up Grant.
