For faculty researchers

Ethics reviews or the confirmation of the ethical soundness of research involving human subjects (e.g., data collection) are increasingly being requested by journals and third-party funding agencies (including the EU and DFG).

To meet Faculty compliance requirements, researchers are to submit a Declaration of compliance with Terms of Use and Ethical Standards [PDF] to Nina Paasche by email (nina.paasche"AT"uni-hamburg.de). It will be thoroughly checked by the Dean for Research. 

This process conforms to the IRB standard (US standard).
