What to do

The Faculty's International Office also offers information meetings ("Infoveranstaltungen").

3. Freemovers
How to find your own exchanges
As a “free mover” you organize your own exchange yourself:
- you choose which university you go to,
- you contact the universities directly or go through an agency,
- you have to pay fees at the university abroad and the semester contribution in Hamburg, and
- you check the compatibility of the two programs with your degree program coordinator so you can get credits for your studies abroad.
Many universities provide information for freemovers on their international office website. The International Office provides further information, including a list of organizations that help organize exchanges, and personal consultation.
