Welcome to the homepage of the Institute of Auditing and Accounting at the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Hamburg.
The research and teaching philosophy of the Institute is shaped by internationality. The focus of the research is on quantitative empirical research. The research findings are presented at internationally and nationally renowned academic conferences and published in leading international and national journals to ensure the global visibility of the research activities.
The Institute is involved in collaborative projects with nationally and internationally renowned universities, such as the University of Duisburg-Essen; der Justus-Liebig-Universität, Gießen; der HEC Business School, Paris; der Concordia University, Montreal; der California State University, Kalifornien.Our courses incorporate research references, the intensity of which varies depending on the students' level of knowledge, in order to convey education through science. Finally, the transfer of knowledge into practice is of particular importance and is implemented, for example, through collaborative projects with practice-oriented funding institutions.
