Research
Core topics of the work at the Chair of Risk Management and Insurance include the internationalization of research and teaching, as well as the connection to the risk management and insurance industry.
We follow a quantitative research approach, with research topics in areas such as risk preferences, risk management, and the demand for insurance products, particularly—but not exclusively—in health insurance and retirement planning.
Our research is interdisciplinary, and we collaborate closely with the Hamburg Center for Health Economics, among others.
