The Finance, Banking & Insurance research focus aims to cover a broad range of financial topics within its research activities. In addition to an emphasis on fundamental research in financial economics, the objective of the focus’s research activities is to derive clear action and regulatory recommendations for corporate practice as well as for policy, while also contributing to the international scientific discourse.
The research priorities of the chairs within the Finance, Banking & Insurance focus lie in the areas of Banking, Behavioral Finance, Corporate Finance, as well as Insurance and Health Economics. Within individual research projects, the participating chairs consistently strive for close cooperation both among themselves and with the other research clusters of the Hamburg Business School, as well as with their international partners.
