INFORMS Franz Edelman Award finalist (2015)

The INFORMS Franz Edelman Award is the most prestigious international competition for outstanding practical contributions in Operations Research.

Together with five other research teams, Prof. Dr Knut Haase and his team reached the finals in cooperation with the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs with the contribution "Improving Pilgrim Safety during the Hajj: An Analytical and Operational Research Approach".
