Prof. Voß on a research trip in Chile

During the joint research trip to Valparaiso, Chile, together with Frederik Schulte and Dr. Eduardo Lalla-Ruiz during autumn 2016, Prof. Dr. Stefan Voß was invited to several conferences in the region.
At the CLAIO 2016, the Latin-Ibero-American Conference on Operations Research in Santiago de Chile, he held a keynote-speech entitled: „Matheuristics: A Primer with Applications in Transporting and Logistics“; at the ICPR 2016, International Conference on Production Research – America he gave a Plenary Session called: "Future trends in logistics: a biased view" and again in Santiago de Chile he was invited to give a talk at the SmartLogistics@IB CYTED Workshop 2016 on: “A general corridor method based approach for capacitated facility location”. Another highlight of this business trip was an invitation to visit the copper mine at El Teniente, which is situated close to Rancagua / Sewell.
