Visits of two ONGC delegations at the Institute

Two delegations of the leading Oil and Gas Company from India, the "Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC)", which extracts 77% of India's overall raw oil amount and 60% of its natural gas resources, were the guests of our institute on Dec 5, 2016 and on Jan 23, 2017 while travelling all over Europe. The delegations consisting of employees from the departments of logistics, production, and marketing, saught for scientific interchange with the institute. During the meeting the members of IWI, Prof. Dr. Stefan Voß, Dr. Xiaoning Shi, Dr. Eduardo Lalla-Ruiz and Mr. Leonard Heilig presented different current issues related to the branch. Especially the presentations on „Digital Transformation in Seaports: Old Wine in New Bottles?“, „Meta and Mathheuristics for solving Logistic Problems at Container Terminals“ and „LNG Implementation Trend in China“, were met with lively interest by the delegates. In subsequent talks during a coffee break with lunch bags valuable contacts were established for future projects.
