IWI is 2nd Place at the EURO Excellence in Practice Award 2021

At the 31st European Conference on Operational Research, which took place online from July 11-14, 2021, a team including Prof. Stefan Voß and the former IWI-research colleagues Dr. Eduardo Lalla-Ruiz and Dr. Leonard Heilig has won the 2nd place in the EURO Excellence in Practice Award 2021 with the submission "Intelligent Truck Drayage Dispatching and Appointment Booking: A real-world application in the Port of Hamburg (Germany)".  For UHH's Faculty of Business Administration it was even a double-win, as this team shares the second place with Prof. Knut Haase and his reasearch associates Sven Müller, Mathias Kasper, and Matthes Koch. The award is granted to researchers who have achieved outstanding accomplishments in the practice of OR.
