We are Jannik Semmelhaack and Tobias Wandersleb, the co-founders of VOIDS Technology GmbH. VOIDS is a B2B e-commerce SaaS (software as a service) that helps online brands use AI to understand future turnover and risks and to proactively counter those risks. This enables our clients to grown long-term and profitably. Demand-shaping solutions are our USP. With demand shaping, we are the only company on the market to help our clients proactively shape their goals (e.g., profit growth or profitability). We have also specialized in a large niche: e-commerce companies with a turnover of €5 to 50 million. There is a serious gap in the market in the area of SaaS. Our solution is scalable and quickly implemented, which massively reduces the costs for clients in comparison to established players such as SAP.
What special milestones or achievements can you already boast?
We received the approval for the EXIST founder scholarship on 01.08. and were also accepted at one of the largest accelerators worldwide. Furthermore, we are currently implementing our SaaS for our first clients, which is always the biggest challenge for an SaaS: “With which minimum viable product (MVP) do I go live?”
What challenges did you face and how did you tackle them? And to what extent did the Faculty of Business Administration at Universität Hamburg support your entrepreneurial project?
Demand shaping is a new category, which we, as the first SaaS, are filling and defining. Pioneers always face the challenge of explaining a new solution and making its uses and advantages clear to clients. The Management Transfer Lab (MTL) in the Faculty of Business Administration was a crucial supporter in the application process for an EXIST scholarship and it was able to connect us with a large network of clients and investors. Furthermore, we regularly use the MTL co-working space to continue working on our vision: developing technologies that enable brands, companies, and people to build sustainable e-commerce ecosystems for all. Our mission is to help 10,000 D2C e-commerce companies with our progressive AI-steered technologies in the next 10 years.
In the series MTL meets... we introduce start-ups linked to or with origins in the Faculty of Business Administration at Universität Hamburg.
