MTL Coworking Space
The coworking space attached to the MTL offers people interested in founding a company as well as founders from the university environment a space to implement their theoretical start-up projects in practice. The coworking space is available for use across all Faculties. Timeslots for using the space can be booked through our registration system. Interested people have access to a wide range of hard-and software equipment (including 3D printers, eye trackers, camera equipment), which can be used for prototyping, product development or product visualizations. Some of these devices can be borrowed via the hardware rental service. Different usage options will be offered: Devices can be borrowed for home usage or they can be used directly on site in the coworking space. Both options will be offered in the corresponding booking system.
The coworking space will also serve as a venue for thematic workshops and events that provide insights from start-up practice as well as specific know-how on how to start a business.
The coworking space is therefore much more than just a comprehensively technically equipped room. It is rather a creative space and meeting place on the campus, where innovative business ideas can be developed, optimized, tested and realized. The coworking space also provides space for close exchange between founders, scientists and practitioners and is thus an integral part of the transfer concept pursued by the MTL.
