Governance and administration
As stipulated in Hamburg’s Higher Education Act (2001), decision-making authority in the Faculty primarily lies with the Management Board and the Faculty Council.
Other committees and representatives
The functions and responsibilities of the Faculty's committees, boards and representatives are determined under the Higher Education Act (HmbHG).
Representatives
The Representatives, which is made up of representatives from business, politics, academia, and society, offers the School external advice on strategic decisions.
Administration
The Faculty's Central Administrative Office (see Faculty Staff) works closely with the Management Board, and is responsible for coordinating the Faculty’s financial and human resources. It liaises with the University's central administration.
The Academic Office fields all study program related questions.
