Welcome to the website of the Professorship of Data Science at the University of Hamburg!

Our research group investigates Conversational Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems with a focus on effective, fair, inclusive, and sustainable communication. Our approach relies on incorporating interdisciplinary perspectives (e.g., business, philosophy, computer science) to advance the state-of-the-art in language technology and related areas.

Our professorship is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg under the Excellence Strategy of the Federal Government and the Länder“.
