Yujie Ren (he/him) is a Doctorate Researcher in Informatics at the University of Hamburg.
His research focuses on developing AI systems that are more reliable, more inclusive, and more transparent. In terms of reliability, he seeks to measure and mitigate hallucination and error rates through a range of technical approaches. With respect to inclusiveness, he addresses issues of discrimination and safety affecting minority language communities. Regarding transparency, he leverages explainability techniques to make AI decision-making processes more interpretable and understandable. Ultimately, his goal is to ensure that AI technologies benefit humanity while minimizing potential harm.
