If you wish to apply for a Master’s thesis position in the focus field Finance, Banking & Insurance, please submit your application by the deadline via the online application form below. The deadline ends at 23:59 CET/CEST. All fields in the form are mandatory. Please pay particular attention to entering your correct email address, as all communication will be conducted via email. In addition to your personal details, please attach a current transcript of records (a STiNE grade overview is sufficient) and your bachelor’s degree certificate as PDFs. Name the files as follows:
- Bachelorzeugnis_LastName_FirstName_StudentID.pdf
- Notenauszug_LastName_FirstName_StudentID.pdf
and upload them via the application form.
In the form, under "Preferred Topic Areas," indicate your preferred topic areas from the table above, ordered according to your specified chair preferences. Define your desired start date by selecting the corresponding calendar week. If your chosen week falls within an official holiday week, the following week will automatically be considered your start week. Please note that the information provided in your application cannot be changed afterward. After submitting the online form, you will receive an automatically generated confirmation email indicating that your application has been received. This email does not confirm that your application meets the requirements. If you do not receive an email after submission, please contact the staff member responsible for the allocation process (see contact information).
Additionally, please submit your completed and signed application for admission to the Master’s thesis—or the equivalent for your program (e.g., HWI)—stamped by the Academic Office via email to Bettina Kourieh at finance.bwl"AT"uni-hamburg.de
by the deadline.
All applications that are complete and submitted by the deadline will participate in the allocation process. A complete application consists of two parts:
- Submission via the online application form
- Submission of the application for admission to the Master’s thesis via email to Ms. Kourieh
You will receive notification of the outcome no later than one working week after the end of the application period, and in any case in time before your intended start date. If your application is successful, you will be informed of your assigned chair and the next steps. In case of rejection, you may reuse your application for admission to apply to another focus field.
