Registration
In order to participate in this course it is obligatory to register in STiNE during the STiNE registration periods.
Course Evaluation
Evaluation Type: exam
As soon as they are known the exact examination dates will be announced in STiNE.
Requirements for attending the Exams
- The exercises have to be correct and handed in to a total of at least 50%. (Repeaters: The ones who have fulfilled this requirement in a previous semester do not need to hand in excercises again.)
- Registration for the exam (for repeaters) within the registration periods in STiNE
Registration for the exams (including repeaters):
- BSc. students: within the registration periods in STiNE
- Word processing (using Microsoft Word as an example)
- Formatting and structuring documents with style sheets
- Automatisms (e.g. footnote management, captions, directory creation, cross-references)
- Additional functions such as formula creation, table creation, etc.
- Spreadsheet calculation (using Microsoft Excel as an example)
- Functions, esp. for decision problems, mathematical/financial problems, statistics
- Diagrams/visualization of information
- Data management, data selection, data analysis
- Database management (using Microsoft Access or LibreOffice Base as an example)
- Data organization in relational databases
- Creating a database (including field data types, validity rules, keys, etc.)
- Database queries
- Form and report creation
- Programming
- Basics of syntax of a programming language, esp. variables, operators, loops and branches
- Use of control structures to develop methods in this programming language
- Methods for solving (business) problems
