Research
The professorship of statistics conducts research in the context of Machine Learning and Deep Learning. Enclosed please find a list of current research projects and recent pubilcations. The projects are concerned with theoretical analysis of machine learning, e.g. how these methods can be used to perform valid causal inference, or with applications in economics and business, for instance estimation of product demand or nonlinear price modeling. The chair of statistics is interested in a knowledge transfer with companies and public organizations to establish modern statistical methods in real-life use cases.
