Start-ups, incumbents, and the effect of takeover competition

The Journal of Business Research recently published a new paper of our research unit. Current takeovers as Tumblr and Instagram show the enormous financial benefits Start-ups can offer for their stakeholders. Together with Jan U. Becker and Markus Nöth, our research unit member Michel Clement analyzes negotiation processes and results in the context of start-up takeovers for non-listed companies. The study shows the relevant factors and how a start-up’s management can enfold its influence.
