Research
In our research, we explore how organizations deal with challenges related to digitalization, that is, the conversion of physical or analog processes, contents, or offerings into a digital format. Digitalization affects both private and public sector companies, companies both large and small, and industries both nascent and emergent.
Our focus is usually on the intersection of digital technology, people, and organizing, and we often try to understand how design and process thinking can help solve problems that organizations face when dealing with digitalization of products, processes, or services.
Our expertise is in three main areas:
- Digital Innovation, Transformation and Entrepreneurship – we study how organizations deal with digitalization, and how digitalization enables innovative new ventures.
- Technology design – we study how developers make sense of technological and organizational domains when they analyze or design new digital technologies.
- Digital Solutions for Sustainable Development – we study how organizations and individuals can leverage digital technologies to make more environmentally sustainable choices
