Meet the experts: science@OMR conference
12 March 2018, by Carsten Ovens
Digital social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, Spotify, and YouTube, become increasingly important in shaping our behavior as consumers and as citizens. They change the nature of social interactions, especially in terms of a significantly accelerated diffusion and broader reach of information. These key changes in the market environment as well as newly available data on social interactions in the digital age have important ramifications for the management and marketing of products and information.
The side event science@OMR provides a unique possibility to discuss the latest insights on social media research and practice with internationally leading experts from both sides. We will introduce the Digital Society Report 2018 and present new findings from academia and media business. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about the future of news media and discuss with three promising startups from the next media accelerator program.
