Oded Netzer new fellow of research group

The DFG Research Group welcomes a new International Fellow: Oded Netzer from Columbia University in New York.
Oded Netzer is one of the world's leading researchers in the field of quantitative consumer research. In particular, he focuses on building statistical and econometric models to measure consumer preferences and understand how customer choices change over time, and across contexts. His work has been published in leading journals such as Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing Research, or Journal of Consumer Research.
In our research group, he currently works together with Jochen Hartmann and Mark Heitmann in project A2. Here, they study how brand images in social media affect consumer behavior by analyzing millions of pictures with machine learning algorithms.
