Maximilian Witte is a research assistant and PhD student at the Chair of Marketing & Customer Insight at the University of Hamburg since January 2022. During his bachelor and master studies, Maximilian focused on the application of quantitative methods in the context of machine learning. Special topics include the application of recommender systems or natural language processing.
Besides the investigation and application of quantitative methods, Maximilian is particularly interested in behavioral studies of consumer decisions. Maximilian completed his master's degree in December 2021 with his master's thesis on the topic of design preferences of different customer segments when buying a car at the Chair of Marketing & Customer Insight at the University of Hamburg.
Maximilian gained practical experience in programming machine learning models and projects with a focus on digitalization, innovation and artificial intelligence while working for a Hamburg-based data and market research company as well as one of Europe's leading e-commerce companies.
His current research area includes the investigation of machine learning using unstructured data in a marketing and business context.
