On Friday, the bachelor’s and master’s graduation ceremony for business administration took place in the University of Hamburg’s Main Building. In addition to speeches and awarding the diplomas, the program also included the awarding of prizes for outstanding theses.
Last Friday, 30 bachelor’s and 41 master’s graduates received their diplomas in the presence of numerous guests at the business administration graduation ceremony in the University’s Main Building on Edmund-Siemers-Allee 1. Keynote speaker Prof. Dr. Petra Steinorth, dean of the University of Hamburg Business School, talked about how self-confidence, knowledge, and experience are interconnected, while Prof. Dr. Nicole V. S. Ratzinger-Sakel, the vice dean for research and career development, emceed the program. Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Brüggemann, director of the bachelor’s degree program, handed out the diplomas. Graduate Finn Matthes Gooßen talked about his journey from newcomer to master’s graduate.
Alumna and vocal studies student Antonia Alves Schlünzen and pianist Henry Teichert performed at the ceremony.The awarding of prizes for particularly outstanding theses was a ceremony highlight: Kai Wuttke, partner and managing director of the sponsor Forvis Mazars handed out the award for outstanding contributions to Ethics, Responsibility, Sustainability (ESR). Master’s graduates Clemens Peter Tegetmeier and Leonard Wittmer were delighted to receive the prize worth €500.
In addition, Prof. Dr. Brüggemann, professor of operations research, presented the GOR (Gesellschaft für Operations Research) Bachelor Prize for outstanding academic achievements in the field: The winner is Regina Tribelhorn who earned an excellent bachelor degree and won a 1-year free GOR membership and a literary gift.
The award ceremony was followed by a reception in the foyer. The Business School wishes the graduates all the best for their future careers and personal endeavors.
