The Basics of Selection in Detail
The selection process is based on the evaluation of course evaluations voluntarily submitted by students regarding the candidates. These evaluations are conducted anonymously at the end of each semester for all courses offered at the School using a standardized questionnaire. Students can provide their assessments of teaching and learning objectives, exam and performance requirements, and the instructor’s contribution. In addition, students have the opportunity to provide supplementary comments in open-ended questions. At the end of the evaluations, students can submit six ratings for the respective course. The Teaching Award is determined based on two of these overall ratings: the “Overall Assessment of the Course” and the “Instructor’s Contribution and Conduct.” The rating scale ranges from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent).
