WirtschaftsWoche Ranking 2020Business economists third in Germany for research

Universität Hamburg has been ranked third in Germany for business economics research in the prestigious WirtschaftsWoche ranking 2020. The ranking is based on publications between 2011 and 2020.

Up from fourth in 2019, the ranking affirms the University’s place amongst the leading German universities for business research.

“This is the result of ongoing support for top-level international research in the Faculty for Business Administration and at Universität Hamburg,” says Faculty of Business Administration Vice Dean for Research Martin Spindler.

“The focus on major international research projects and close cooperation in international research networks in recent years is helping ensure the Faculty’s long-term position amongst the top-ranked research institutions in Germany.” 

“The ranking recognizes the excellent research conducted in the University and in the Faculty’s key research areas – Health Economics, Logistics and Digital Services, Marketing and Communication –, and their connection to business and society in Hamburg through the Faculty’s Management Transfer Lab,” says Professor Spindler.
