The Annual Report 2023 of the University of Hamburg Business School (Faculty of Business Administration) provides an overview of the most significant events of the past year.
After four years of hard work, the Business School was awarded EQUIS, the leading international accreditation for business schools, in October. The successful application – on the first attempt! – shows that the School is not only a leader in Germany, but is also recognized internationally for excellence.
In the field of research, the successful application for a research training group in Managerial and Economic Dimensions of Health Care Quality, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), was a highlight. The five-year program, endowed with 6 million euro, started with its first 10 doctoral researchers in October.
Moreover, the report provides a comprehensive overview of progress regarding the General Strategy 2027, achieved rankings, appointments, organized and attended conferences and workshops by members of the University of Hamburg Business School. It includes figures and statistics on students and staff as well as the status of the equality strategy formulated for the years 2023 to 2027.
Readers also gain insight into research and third-party funded projects, applied work, and transfer activities. The report discusses advancements in internationalization, including new international partnerships of the University of Hamburg Business School, international research stays, and student exchange numbers, as well as an overview of the financial situation. Concluding with topics on ethics, responsibility, and sustainability, as well as the status of the digitalization process, the report provides a comprehensive picture of the current state of the Business School with a view toward the future.
