The University of Hamburg Business School's project “Ein Raum für kreative Entfaltung in nachhaltiger Umgebung” (A space for creative development in a sustainable environment) is one of the winners in the job advertisement for the Fund for Innovative Teaching (FIL) as part of the Excellence Strategy.
The Ein Raum für kreative Entfaltung in nachhaltiger Umgebung project, submitted by e-learning coordinator Dr. Anja Günther, was successful in the job advertisement for the Fund for Innovative Teaching (FIL) as part of the Excellence Strategy. Around 25,000 euros will flow into the idea, which will be funded until 31 October 2026. The jury selected a total of seven projects from the 21 applications.
The winners were honored at a class on 24 July. Prof. Dorothea Alewell, Vice-Dean for Education, and Pauline Perez, Central administrative office, were present on behalf of Dr. Anja Günther.
“I am delighted that this project will give us the opportunity to offer our students a learning environment that optimally supports modern forms of teaching and learning in the future,” explains Dr. Anja Günther. “The conversion of the previous seminar room in Von-Melle-Park 5 into a flexible multi-zone area allows us to implement different settings such as group work, presentations or creative workshops with precision.”
“By creating an environment that is designed to meet the needs of our students, we not only promote active participation and exchange, but also create the prerequisites for creative new forms of teaching and learning,” adds Prof. Dorothea Alewell, Vice-Dean of Education and Professor of Human Resources Management. “Overall, this significantly strengthens the learning culture at our Business School and helps us to put innovative teaching concepts into practice even better.”
The job advertisement responds to the students’ desire for better teaching and learning spaces and meeting places, which was expressed several times during the Campus Survey in summer 2023. The aim of the call is to redesign existing spaces or open indoor and outdoor areas of the University as creative and multifunctional teaching, learning, and meeting places that enable innovative teaching and learning formats that are flexible.
