Biking to WorkTeam Zweirad-Tiefflieger Takes First Place

The Zweirad-Tiefflieger team was one of five teams from the University of Hamburg Business School to take part in the Biking to Work initiative (“Mit dem Rad zur Arbeit”—#MdRzA) and not only took first place within the Business School, but also secured the top spot university-wide. The Dean Prof. Petra Steinorth and the Representative for Sustainability Prof. Simone Neumann honored the winners with a challenge cup.
On 10 September, the Business School's Representative for Sustainability and Professor of Business Administration, in particular Sustainable Logistics and Mobility Systems Simone Neumann distinguished the winning team of the Biking to Work campaign. Team Zweirad-Tiefflieger was one of five teams to enter the competition and received the challenge cup from the Dean and Professor of Risk Management and Insurance, Petra Steinorth. With 69 cycling days, the team not only secured first place at the University of Hamburg Business School, but also the top position University-wide.

Looking at the distance covered, the team University of Hamburg Business School No. 1 with 4,562 km ahead of the winning team. In total, all five teams from the Business School covered a distance of 11,300 km. The campaign period ran from 1 May to 31 August. The nationwide campaign promotes environmentally friendly mobility and a healthy lifestyle.
Registration for the coming year begins in mid-April. Students and employees of the University of Hamburg Business School are once again cordially invited to take part and set an example for sustainability and team spirit.
