The course covers strategic, tactical and operational planning problems in Supply Chains. We first discuss how strategic fit can be achieved. Based on the supply chain strategy, we discuss concepts and methods for location planning and inventory management in supply networks. We discuss how a lack of supply chain coordination may trigger the bullwhip effect. Further, it is shown how supply chain contracts align incentives of independent supply chain parties. We finally discuss how behavioral factors can be considered in supply chain planning models.
