Registration and preferences
You can register for seminars via STiNE within the abovementioned registration period. Note that registering for a module is not sufficient; you must also register for the course.
You cannot register for seminars if you have not yet chosen a specialization. Therefore, make sure that you have selected the right specialization in STiNE to register for the seminar.
If several seminars are offered in the same specialization, you should select all seminars available in your order of preference to maximize your chances of getting a place. You will be allocated only one seminar place per specialization.
In the master’s degree program, you can choose seminars from several specialization. However, it is not possible to prioritize seminars from 2 specializations.
We strongly recommend that students in need of completing a certain seminar select all seminars available.
Seminar places will be allocated when the registration period has ended.
Seminars with fewer than 10 registrations will only take place in exceptional cases, and those affected may be reassigned to other seminars.
*Information for students of the B.Sc, in Business Mathematics (WiMa, taught in German):
Note that you can pick seminars only from the following specializations for your degree program: Finance, Banking and Insurance; Health Care Management; Marketing; OSCM; Information Systems.
*Information for students of the M.Sc. in Business Mathematics:
Note that you can pick seminars only from the following focus fields for your degree program: Business Analytics; Finance, Banking and Insurance; Methods; OSCM.
Allocation of remaining places
Students who have not been allocated a seminar or who have missed the registration deadline can register for seminars with vacancies. Seminars with remaining places are indicated in the seminar overview of the respective semester. Registration is via an online form.
Vacant places are allocated in the order in which applications are received.
Deregistration
Deregistration from business administration seminars is not permitted! It is not possible to deregister from seminars once a place has been allocated. Non-participation will be graded as “failed” with the grade of 5.0.
